Time is the most valuable asset being an entrepreneur

MOTHERHOOD, CEO MOMSamantha Gordon3 Comments

Now that I’m in the groove(yet, still constantly learning)of being a full time mommy and entrepreneur, I’ve realized that time is my most valuable asset. I always keep this in the back of my mind—whatever I do for the next 2-3 years will affect the next 5-10. This is why I respect my time. Respecting and valuing your time will help you to work more efficiently. You will then gain more experience and knowledge, which leads to expanding your ideas, business and brand. Value what you give your time and energy to. You will be more fulfilled, especially with the decisions and choices you make. You are in total control, always.

Here’s how I’m keeping it all together, business included.

Time management

Realizing the importance of your time allows you to accomplish more of your goals. More than likely, even in a shorter period of time. Finishing tasks often bring you satisfaction and a boost of energy that makes you feel great. You’ll want more of that feeling, so it’s a win-win.

Where do you direct your attention?

Quick tip: anyone or anything that serves you no good, no purpose and/or no peace—completely cut it out of your life. Why put your time and energy into it? I’ve cut out a lot of unnecessary stress and disappointment by doing so.

Continue to move forward

Learn to maximize your time. Being an entrepreneur isn’t easy. If it was, everybody would be doing it. You’ve got to learn to pick yourself up. Don’t stop, even when you feel like there’s no progress(this is usually when things are about to shift in your favor). Learn discipline. Don’t be afraid to make important decisions for your brand and business.

Stop complaining

If you notice something wrong within your life/business, fix it! Complaining does nothing but drain you, distract you and block your blessings. The time you waste complaining, you could be using it to solve your problem, creating something, learning, etc. Don’t waste it.
