Avocado is one of the best superfoods. It’s one of my favorite foods to add to almost every dish. They’re super easy to incorporate and taste amazing too. In one of my previous posts, I mentioned that in my household, we use avocado in so many different ways. Adding avocado to your diet can benefit you in many ways. Like, reducing the risk of stoke and heart attack, lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and even benefit your eye health. Avocado is loaded with fiber, potassium, and heart-healthy fatty acids. Here’s the gag! By adding avocado to your diet, it keeps you full longer. Meaning they’re weight loss friendly. Bonus!
Here are some ways we incorporate avocado in our diets:
Guacamole with whole grain tortilla chips
Makes the perfect snack + on the go eats.
Try my go-to smoothie. 1/4 avocado, apple, pineapple and spinach. You can add 1/4 or 1/2 avocado to your favorite fruit based smoothie and you’ll love it even more.
Add slices of avocado to your sandwich or mash up the avocado and replace it for mayo.
Burgers + turkey burgers
Top with grilled avocado, you can’t go wrong. Also, you have to try a burger with pepper jack cheese, guacamole, tomato, lettuce, and ranch dressing. Ahhhhh! Beyond perfection!
Add avocado to your favorite salad. I mean, what’s a salad without avocado?
This is my new fav. My little loves, not so much. Bread your avocado slices, and then bake them to your liking. I make a lime + ranch dipping sauce to go with mine.
