The mama who just went for it

Hey SHE E O! Happy Wednesday! So, if you’ve been following my blog and social media, you know that I’ve been in the works of creating merchandise and other amazing products for my brand. I’ve been sharing sneak peeks and progress of what I’ve been creating. I’ve been one busy mama! I’ve been a SAHM for about four months now. It’s taking some getting used to, as you can imagine, but it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made yet. Not only do I get to be with my little loves, but I started a few of my own business ventures. I have some goodies dropping this Friday! Yay! I’ve been getting so many questions about where and how to start a business. Being an entrepreneur isn’t easy at all. I’ve taken so many L’s but I kept it pushing anyway.  Has it all been worth it? Hell yes! The best advice I can give is to just go for it and keep at it! No risk, no reward.

The past four months have been pure joy. I only put my time and effort in things that align with my vision and purpose. I’m 26 years young and just decided to trust myself. You miss every shot that you don’t take. Invest in your brand. Invest in your future. Invest in yourself. I would battle with myself, like “are you really sure you’re ready to take this leap of faith?..you have two little ones that depend on you!” I would doubt if I could really do this all on my own. I woke up one day and had a talk with God. He said “I got you” lol and I just made up in my mind “today’s going to be the day.”

I honestly had no clue where to start, but I knew what I was capable of. I knew what I wanted. See I don’t mind the work. You don’t work, you don’t eat (my great-grandfather had instilled this in me from a young age). The hard part for me was to start. Everyday I would lay a brick. I had a vision to start MOMIN apparel. I started writing down (I’m a very visual person) little details. Like, what type of shirt I wanted, colors, design, etc. I then did research (google is my best friend) on the products I was interested in, quality, how they fit, the best manufacturers to offer what I was looking for, etc. I did my research on literally every single detail, so that when I brought it to a manufacturer I knew what I was talking about. All it takes is you believing/trusting your vision and the process.

Your wealth is in your faith. Put God first. I’m a living witness to tell you what God can do for you, when you believe with your whole heart and work for what you want. You can do anything. You create your life. Whatever you want in life, it’s already yours. You have a specific vision? Start with a plan. Make moves and choices that support your vision. Talk like you already have it. Walk like you already have it. Whatever “it” may be. Believe in you and your vision so much that any fear becomes irrelevant. Block out all doubt, fear, procrastination, and non believers. Stay encouraged and motivated all the way through, and for the time you feel “ blah”, self discipline will most definitely carry you when motivation fails you. I am a firm believer in what you put out, will come back to you in a much greater form. I’m also a firm believer that you are the magic, stop looking for it. Just go for it, mama.
