This is my season! I’m literally obsessed with everything that comes with autumn. Pumpkins, trees bursting into beautiful colors, the weather is perfect to get cozy indoors, holiday decor, the fashion is at an all time high, and not to mention my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. We get to feast on delicious food all month-long.
I plan to start many traditions with my little ones. Especially the traditions my great-grandparents shared with my siblings and I. My great-grandfather taking us to the pumpkin patch every year as child, and finding the biggest pumpkin was one of my fondest memories. We would stay there for hours. After picking our pumpkins, we would sit around the table and carve our pumpkins. My aunt was a pro at carving pumpkins, so we all wanted her help lol. My grandmother would roast the pumpkin seeds while making us root beer floats. Those memories last a lifetime. Here’s some of the fall traditions I’d like to start with my little ones.
I plan to continue this tradition. I’m so excited to go with my little ones.
Go apple picking
I love fresh orchards and organic markets.
Bake homemade cookies
Mommy confession–I can’t bake. I just bought us cookie dough to try out. I’ll let you know how it goes.
Hot cocoa + movie night
We may do this sooner than later. A movie night by the fireplace.
Host a harvest party
I’m the mom that will throw a play date party, dinner party, etc. I’m so excited to host a harvest party, where we can enjoy great food and great company together.
Roast marshmallows + make s’mores
When my little ones get older of course—I’d love to sit outdoors around the fire pit , to just talk all night.
